It’s time for a new beginning. For a fresh new space that isn’t cluttered up by the past, but makes way for something new.
For a new sense of community, with the opportunity to engage on a different platform.
For space in which to wrestle with the faith that has formed me (and in some ways damaged me), but which still compels me forward. Because I still believe. I still hope. I still need God.
God without all the religious baggage.
I don’t know what that looks like yet. That’s why I’m here, to try to figure it out with your help.
Eventually, I will offer paid subscriptions for just a few dollars a month. If you find what I do meaningful, I’d be so encouraged to have you subscribe to help support my writing, but there will always be some posts available to everyone for free. And if you truly can’t afford it but want to read along, send me an email and I’ll add you for free, no questions asked or excuses needed.
But for now, settle in. Take a deep breath. Maybe even say a prayer—even if, like me, sometimes basic concepts like prayer and scripture carry trauma alongside them. If you’re not ready, that’s okay. If you have no idea what people mean when they use terms like “deconstruction” or “evolving faith.” You’ll always be welcome here, wherever you are on your journey. And I’d love to engage with you about matters of faith (and doubt). Or hope (and despair). Of culture and conforming, of belonging or not.
Stay tuned, my friends. I don’t want to rush this, but I’m really excited to get started. I hope we both can find what we’re looking for here… that our faith can grow, even (especially?) among the shadows of doubt.
