Celebrating 10 years of prayer prompts with a “greatest hits” calendar!
A little over ten years ago, when wanting to create an interesting free download for my readers, I came up with the idea of these prayer prompts. I designed them as calendars, offering one thought per day to remind people to pray and to explore. I hoped to provide a tool to help people pray without ceasing, to see what that might look like in the midst of our busy, ordinary days. To encourage people to pray for new people they encounter and to have fun as they intentionally spend time talking with God.
Before long, people requested a printed version of the calendar, and for the past decade I’ve enjoyed developing different design approaches and exploring a number of themes.
As I talked this over with friends, wondering if the calendar had run its course, one friend suggested a “greatest hits” calendar. So to celebrate ten years of this fabulous praying community, that is what you are now holding in your hands. Every year since 2015 is represented by at least one month, though I’ve tweaked some of the prompts and added or changed the main images. Even if you’ve been using these calendars from the start, I bet new names and situations will come to mind as you pray the prompts again.
